Allergies are critical patient safety information. Severe allergies are prominently displayed in the critical banner at the top of this page and in the patient header.

  • Severe — anaphylaxis risk, requires epinephrine on site
  • Moderate — significant reaction, requires monitoring
  • Mild — localized reaction, manageable symptoms
  • Drug — medication allergies (critical for prescribing)
  • Environmental — pollen, mold, latex etc.
  • Food — dietary restrictions and anaphylaxis risk

Only licensed clinical staff may add/modify allergy records. All changes are audit-logged with timestamp and provider ID. Allergy data is shared with pharmacy systems for drug interaction checking.
